The Top Three
Club Captain: Ailie Rennie, Treasurer: Ellie Richards, Secretary: Amy Hunt
email@example.com -Hi everyone, I’m Ailie and I will be your new club captain this year. I have just finished a study abroad year in Australia and will be returning for my final year in Leeds studying Criminology. I will be in charge of overseeing the running of the club, responsible for all its members and will be your main point of contact throughout the year. So feel free to send me any questions or problems you have about and I’ll try and sort them as quickly as I can. In my second year at Leeds, I was the first team captain when we won the league and varsity (woop woop). Whilst I spend most of my time with LUUWAFC, I also set up another society through my course and spend most Friday nights trying not to get talked into going to Fruity. Here’s hoping a year away from the city of dreams hasn’t ruined my ability to down a treble or enjoy Warehouse Wednesdays. Can’t wait to meet you all and I hope you’re ready to be part of the best club at uni #luuwafcislove #luuwafcislife
Hello! I’m Ellie (or Rich) your treasurer this year, this means I’m in charge of all the money and making sure everyone pays their fees. I’m just about to go back into first year to do Environmental Science because I love LUUWAFC so much and wanted 3 more years of it! Catch me either at John Lewis or hanging out with/talking about my nephew.
Hello I’m Amy Wolves and I’m club secretary. This is my fourth year of LUUWAFC so you could say that I’m a veteran. I’m a centre back and a source of awful dad jokes. Interesting fact about me- I can’t bend my thumb without my finger also bending.
The Team Captains
1st Team Captain: Bethan Davies, 2nd Team Captain: Robyn Wrigley, 3rd Team Captain: Ellie Baker
Hey, I’m Beth and I’m first team captain this year! I’m now in my third year at Leeds studying history, although you’re definitely more likely to see me out on the pitch than in any library! My past two seasons with LUUWAFC have seen the 1s achieve varsity, cup and league glory. I can’t wait to lead us in another successful season and continue ‘Winning Wednesdays!’ Feel free to drop me an email anytime 🙂
Hey guys I’m Robyn, and I am 2nd team captain for LUUWAFC. I’m in my 2nd year of Geography so if I’m not on the pitch or getting bevved in Terrace I’ll be somewhere in Leeds colouring in. I’m excited for a successful season and to have a lot of fun and laughs with you all in the process.
Hello! My name is Ellie and I’m a 2nd year chemistry student. I will be captaining the thirds for the 18/19 season and would like to build upon the fantastic success we’ve had this year. I have thoroughly enjoyed being part of LUUWAFC for the past year and would highly recommend anyone to join, regardless of your ability there is always a place for you at LUUWAFC!
The Social Secretaries
Monica Charters, Lorna Williams, Bethany Madden
Hey I’m Monica or “The scouse one, who drinks straight vodka”. I study sociology and will be one of your social sec’s this year! My job will be making sure you have a sick time every Wednesday night (take it how you will). I hope/expect you all to get yourselves to the socials week in week out so that you can understand why LUUWAFC goes beyond just playing football and why I genuinely love the club more than I love vodka.
Hola I’m lorna and I’m one of your social secs! You’ll get to know me soon as I’ll be pouring sambuca all over your face in players or trying to shave your eyebrow off. I don’t really like going to uni so you can always find me in terrace if you fancy a cheeky pint or a couple of Long Island ice teas between lectures. I’m also part of the Swedish international world championship winning skipping team (2016 watch it on YouTube) Love you all xoxo
Hey, I’m Beth (aka Maddog) and I’m studying International Development (kinda like Politics). If I ever stop injuring myself, you may see me at training but you will definitely see me each week on socials, as I persuade you to do things you may regret the following morning (if you remember them that is) 😉 Aside from having a few alcoholic beverages and the occasional trip to Warehouse, I hope to run many sober socials as alcohol is expensive and we can have fun without it 😊❤️
Media Secretary: Sian John-Baptiste, Tour Secretary: Christy Fulton, Community Secretary: Niamh Donnelly, Networking Secretary: Leah Balmer
Hey, I’m Sian ex seconds captain & current third year graphic design “student”, but I am most commonly known as John or John-the-Bap! This year I’ll be your media sec, so I’ll be updating our Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and this beautiful website throughout the year so be sure to give them all a follow for match updates and photos! See you guys on the pitch & on Wednesday nights out! Much love, John xoxo
Hey I’m Christy, and I’m this years tour sec! I’ll be planning what will hopefully be the best, and definitely be the weirdest week of your life… I’m going into my second year in Social Work and have loved being in LUUWAFC during first year. I really hope to see you on tour as it’s something you will not regret!
Charming. Brave. Funny. Niamh is a true hero of our time. What she lacks in talent, she makes up for in egotism. Her hobbies include rescuing teenagers from stray dogs in Siberia and talking about herself in the third person.
Hi guys I’m Leah and I’m the networking sec so basically get us cool sponsors and sort alumni weekend. I play on the wing in football and study sociology – well sometimes. Can’t wait to meet you all next year either on the pitch or drunk in warehouse over and out.
