The Top Three
Club Captain: Lil Stanton, Treasurer: Cat Stobie, Secretary: Rachel Weaver
email@example.com – G’day Sheilas, I’m Lillian and I will be your club captain this year. I’ve just finished a year abroad Down Under and am returning to Leeds for my final year studying Maths and Biology. I will be overseeing the club, looking out for all its members and will be your main point of contact throughout the year. So please feel free to holla at me with any problems and I’ll do my best to get them sorted! When I’m not kicking about a bag of air you’ll probably find me chilling with my bestie Henry Weston, getting sent off in a crucial match or studying animals and numbers. My highlights of luuwafc include leading the 1st team to the treble, strawpedoing many bottles of wine and learning to (almost) love Catriona’s smug face. I hope you’re ready to be a part of the legendary club that is luuwafc and create an unbelieeeevable amount of memories!
firstname.lastname@example.org – Hi, my name’s Catriona but you can call me Cat. I’m in my fourth year studying Maths and I’m undertaking the role of treasurer this year. This means that I’m in charge of anything financial and ensuring everyone has paid all of their fees. My best accolade to date is becoming Tour Legend in my first year of uni(corn), where I impressed the whole club with my new haircut and head-dress. I’m partial to a pint of Guinness or 5, and am an amateur Irish dancer in my spare time.
email@example.com – Hello I’m Rachel aka Weaves and I’m so excited to be your Secretary this year! This means I’m in charge of referees, teas and looking after various other general things. Aside from trying very hard to complete my Sports Science degree you’ll find me running around Leeds City Centre in search of our 1st team captain Vicky Palin, seeking shelter in freshers’ flats and showing off my signature dance moves in Fruity. I’m the friendliest face around and love to keep busy so any queries/concerns feel free to direct them my way!
The Team Captains
1st Team Captain: Vicky Palin, 2nd Team Captain: Sian John-Baptiste, 3rd Team Captain: Elizabeth Ydlibi
firstname.lastname@example.org – Hello! My name is Vicky aka Dicky and I am 1st team captain for LUUWAFC! Joining this legendary club was the best decision I ever made (so I would highly recommend joining 😉). This will be my 4th year at the club and cannot wait to have another successful season, hopefully getting our hands on some silverware again! 🏆
email@example.com – Hey I’m Sian (second year graphic design student), but most commonly known as John or John-the-bap (second-team-cap)! I’m probably the most clueless captain in football history.. I may not know how the football leagues work but I can actually play football.. promise! See you guys on the pitch, I can’t wait for the season to begin & for the fun to start! xo
firstname.lastname@example.org – Hello friends! I’m Elizabeth and for the 17/18 season I’ll be captaining the 3rds, where having fun is a top priority. I’m in third year studying linguistics – if you’re wondering what that is, I don’t know either. My aim this season is for 3rds to improve our position in the league whilst still loving life. LUUWAFC has shaped my uni life and I’d advise anyone to join a sports team, especially LUUWAFC! Regardless of ability, there’s a place for everyone here. If you want to improve or develop a new skill then come and join the LUUWAFC family.
The Social Secretaries
Beth Hosie, Sarah Chisem, Fran Santos
email@example.com – Heeey guys, I’m Beth! I’m going to be a very familiar face this year since I’m one of the three social secs. This basically means I’m in charge of getting you from the pitches to Players every Wednesday in one piece but never sober 😉 I’m currently in my second year studying History which makes my main priority for every social to be banging so I can endure reading 100 books a week, so basically start prepping your liver and worst dance moves for this year at LUUWAFC!
firstname.lastname@example.org – Hey chicks! I’m Sarah (aka rugby wife) and I’m super excited to be one of the social secs for this year! I’m currently a second year sports science student and I’m loving living in the city of dreams. My priority is to make sure everyone has an awesome time on our Wednesday socials (even though you may not remember them in the morning ;)) As long as you don’t knock yourself out I’ll consider the night a success. Don’t worry, you’ll always find me on a night out – just follow the glitter trail… See ya on the football pitch but more importantly on Warehouse’s dance floor.
email@example.com – Hi I’m Fran and will be one of your social secs this year. You may see me around uni sometimes pretending to study classics but you will definitely see me at every LUUWAFC social probably being a mess or making sure everyone else is. I would 100% recommend joining our little family and getting yourself down to each social. #luuwafcislove #luuwafcislife
Media Secretary: Nancy Gillen, Tour Secretary: Ellie Brown, Community Secretary: Brydie Greenwood, Networking Secretary: Annie Moffatt
firstname.lastname@example.org – Hey guys, I’m Media Sec for the season! I’ve just finished my Year in Industry working for uni itself (because I never want to leave) so am entering my fourth year studying International History and Politics. LUUWAFC has made the past 3 years incredible so I can’t recommend joining enough! I’ll be updating our Twitter, Instagram and Facebook throughout the year so be sure to give them all a follow. I also write match reports for The Gryphon (the student newspaper) so if you’re lucky you might even get a cheeky shout out.
email@example.com – Hi I’m Ellie and I’m your tour sec, which means I’ll be planning one of the best weeks of your life, so start getting excited! I’m going in to my second year of Geography and have been a member of LUUWAFC for a year now, playing for the thirds.
firstname.lastname@example.org – Ey up! I’m Brydie and I’ll be the community sec for LUUWAFC this year, you’ll probably know who I am straight away as I’m arguably the tallest and one of the most northern members of the club! This is my 3rd year in the city of dreams and with LUUWAFC such a big part of it it’s guaranteed to be a belter! My job as community sec will largely involve getting the club to raise lots of £££ for charity. So, if you love football and are up for a laugh you’ll fit right in so come and join the best club at Leeds and don’t just watch from the sidelines (see what I did there).
email@example.com – Hi I’m the Networking Sec for this year. I’m in 3rd year and I study diagnostic radiography. I love luuwafc because of the people that are in it – it’s already been the biggest part of my uni experience!
